Desktop Support Engineer

About the role:

As a IT Desktop Support Engineer your role will be to provide first line technical support to the BWHL group of businesses. You will be responsible for providing desktop support to our users while also maintaining business critical systems across our global network. You will also be responsible for managing traditional IT processes such as user onboarding, offboarding and hardware setup and configuration

The Ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within an existing team.

You will also collaborate closely with the IT Support team, actively assisting in the resolution of escalated IT Support tickets and contributing your expertise to diagnose highly technical issues.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Providing desktop support to our users while also maintaining business critical systems across our global network.
  • Managing user onboarding, offboarding and hardware setup and configuration
  • Creating logs of rendered support
  • Assisting with key departmental and business goals.
  • Managing change requests.
  • Maintaining IT Systems across multiple sites, including UK, Spain, Germany, and USA.

Skill set of the role:

Essential

  • GCSE/A Level in Information Technology
  • 5+ years’ experience in an IT Support or Service desk environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft services, including Office 365, Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
  • Good customer service skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently and/or part of a team.
