About the role:
Provide the day-to-day management and liaison with manufacturing of the QC functions. Foster a proactive approach to continually improve product quality standards through effective quality control processes.

Key areas of responsibility
- Support the production team in the day-to-day operation of the mould shop, and automated production plan ensuring tasks are completed within allocated timescale and that work is planned to the best utilise capacity.
- To maintain and develop quality systems throughout the factory operations ensuring that the highest standards of product quality are maintained.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work and confirming re-work.
- Review and perform RCA on suspect parts.
- Conduct ISIR on components as requested by QA engineer.
- Perform moulding checks as per documentation and technical drawings
- Liaise with production on any quality issues that arise and agree actions to move forward maintain written records outlining decisions and action agreed.
- Write programmes for Vertex measurement machine, as and when required
- Undertake any ad-hoc projects as requested and any other associated tasks that are deemed reasonable.
Skill set of the role:
Essential
- GCSE Level Education
- At least 2 years of experience within an inspection role or similar
- Good IT skills (Experience in using Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Ability to analyse test results to identify failures
- High level of work accuracy
- Ability to complete tasks against tight deadlines
- Understanding of product testing methods
- Ability to read technical drawings
- High-level of visual awareness
- Experience drafting reports and collating data
- Confident and assertive
- Pro-active, hands-on approach
- Adaptable / flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication skills
- Methodical approach
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to make decisions in regards to production process

- Experience working within a quality department or test lab environment
